Background
Dr Tully is a Clinical Associate Professor in Forensic Psychiatry and a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, with extensive clinical experience in forensic settings, including prisons. He completed his higher training in London and has been an Approved Clinician since 2018.
His PhD at King’s College London examined antisocial personality disorder and psychopathy, and he has around fifty research publications, including on antisocial personality disorder, ADHD, prison psychiatry and schizophrenia.
Expert witness work
Dr Tully has prepared many reports for the Crown and Magistrates’ Courts. He is trained in structured risk assessment tools including the HCR-20 and the Stalking Risk Profile, and in the assessment of psychopathy using the Psychopathy Checklist-Revised (PCL-R).
