Background
Dr Gibbon is a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist and an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham. He has published widely in peer-reviewed journals, has co-authored a textbook on forensic mental health, supervises higher trainees in forensic psychiatry and teaches on undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
His particular interests are personality disorder, sexual offending, fire-setting, risk assessment and deafness, and he is trained in a range of personality and risk assessment tools.
Expert witness work
Dr Gibbon regularly provides reports for the courts, the Parole Board and the Mental Health Tribunal. He has completed Bond Solon expert witness training.
